Spring Break, Part 2: Paris, France

I have to say, Paris Round 2 was better then Round 1. I don't know, it could have been that I liked the sights I saw the second time around better, or maybe it was the fact that I got to see my dad!!

The first night I was there, my dad and walked around and went to dinner.

Monday morning, I first went and saw the outside of Notre Dame...

(one of my favorites)

After wandering around and going to lunch, I went and saw the Deportation Memorial for all of the Jewish people in France that were taken to concentration/death camps. It was very cool

"Forgive, but never forget"

That night, I went back to the hotel, got ready, and after dinner in the Latin Quarter (my favorite part of Paris) we went to Moulin Rouge. It was REALLY cool, like a French Vegas show.

Sadly I couldn't take my camera inside.

After the show, we went to an Irish bar to celebrate St. Patricks Day
I think he makes a good Irishman.
To start off Tuesday, I headed to the Orsay in the morning. It is in an old train station, so the building is just as cool as all the art in it....

Monets "Water Lilies"
Ok so this one cracked me up when I saw it... Look a little closer....
I immediately thought of me and 2 of my friends sitting on the bench and the middle one is saying "You are NEVER going to believe what he did next!" haha, just made me laugh
This was one of my favorite paintings in the building, it was huge and I thought the color was awesome

After the Orsay, and another lunch in the Latin Quarter (pictures, see below), I went to the Conciergerie, which is a prison that Marie Antoinette was held in.

So finally....here are some pictures from the Latin Quarter

This is the Paino Bar that I had a drink with my dad at before Moulin Rouge

my EXCELLENT gyro that I got for lunch

INDIANA!!!!!!! thinking about all of you guys in Paris!
and the Arc.

All in all, it was so great to see my dad. Florence and Paris could have not have been better ways to start off my spring break! I was sad to say good-bye, but my mom, Kris and Aunt Claudia will be here soon enough!!

Adios!

PS - Good Luck at Little 50 quals Carl!!!!!!!!!
